My verse for the year is Joshua 1:9, "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." ​This year marks my 12th school year at GCA. I am thrilled to begin my new role as Interim Principal and Director of Student Support Services. I look forward to leading our staff and providing more individualized support to our students to help them grow and be successful.

My husband Ben and I are blessed with two children who also attend GCA. I am very grateful to be able to work where my children attend school. Outside of work, I love spending time with family and friends, reading, camping, and eating good food.

My verse for the year is Acts 17:28, "For in him we live and move and have our being; as some of your own poets have said, "We are his offspring'". For me faith is in the small and large, the brief moments and the large missions, the seen and the unseen. I believe that we give God glory when we do our very best with what He has given us. That excellence is a tribute to Christ and a small way to say, "thank you" for what Christ has done for us by dying for our sins.

In my free time I love to be active and play sports. We are a sporty family and enjoy cheering for teams as much as we do playing.

I have had the privilege of being an educator for 20+ years.  I found my calling as an educator a little later in life after working as an Urban Planner.  Teaching in public and private schools, grades 5-12, in a variety of subject areas, has provided me with a wealth of experience that I use  to benefit all my students.  I am excited to continue to teach Middle School History, but also serve as the Dean of Students for the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year.  Outside of school, I enjoy traveling with my wife and two daughters. ​
