Grace Christian Academy believes in the importance of an education with a Christian worldview. With the exception of Math, all curriculum used comes from a Christian publisher. Bob Jones University Press is the curriculum used for most subjects, with Bible for 1st-5th grade being Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), Positive Action for Christ for 6th-11th, and Understanding the Times for 12th grade.
Weekly supplemental classes (Specials) include Physical Education, Spanish, Music, and Art. Reading is taught using proven and established phonics methods. Oral reading and comprehension is emphasized. Additional reading is strongly encouraged with a focus on the classics.
Mathematics is taught using traditional methods from Kindergarten through 12th grade.
Our Science program adheres to the literal creation of the universe defined in the Bible.
History and patriotism are combined in evaluating the past to form a framework for the present and format for the future.
Biblical truths are taught in all subject areas with Scripture memorization as a part of the educational program. Weekly Chapels are lead by teachers and staff.
Physical education is an integral part of the curriculum. The program teaches students to establish fitness goals and practice good sportsmanship.
Several Elective options are offered such as: Cooking, E-Sports, Textile Art, Choir, Auto Shop, ACT/College Prep, Gym, Redemption, Theater, and Printmaking.
Despite K4-12th residing in the same building, we still are able to keep elementary separate from middle and high school by having the elementary on the first floor in its own wing. Middle and high school are located on the second and third floors and do not enter the elementary hallway at any time.
Character training takes place throughout every day with “values” being reinforced as they are developed in the Christian home.
