This is my first year working at GCA and I am excited for what the year will hold! I desire for every student to come to know Jesus Christ as his/her Lord and Savior, and learn to live by faith in Him moment by moment of his/her life.
My goal as the PE Teacher and Athletic Director is to help students and athletes steward their physical bodies well, to use their skills to glorify the Lord, and to have their souls nourished through the teaching of God's word.
​I grew up in Illinois and attended Carthage College where I play football. This will be my ninth year teaching. My wife and I have been happily married since 2021 and have two little girls. I attend Lake Country Bible Church where I serve as a Deacon, as well as in other ministries. I also enjoy reading, cooking, sports, being outdoors, and spending time with my family.

Hi there! I’m Miss Lauren Parsons, and I’m the new art teacher at Grace Christian Academy! I was a student at GCA from 2014-2018. I attended Concordia University and graduated with a degree in Computer Science and a minor in art. After a few years in the tech industry, I felt something was missing. I asked God to lead me where He wanted me to go next. God opened up a door for me to join the GCA team that very same day! I’m excited to be a part of the change at GCA and see how God is working in this place. I enjoy spending time in nature hiking, foraging, and long boarding. I also love to spend time with my church family and friends! ​

My verse for this year is Psalm 100:1. My favorite thing at GCA is the ability to build relationships with students, and help them develop their musical gifts to bring honor and glory to God!

I grew up in Lindenhurst IL, but I have lived in Milwaukee the past year and love it! I earned a bachelor’s in music education from Taylor University. In my free time I enjoy hiking, baking, trying new coffee shops, spending time with my fiancé, and of course MUSIC! I attend Mercy Hill church where I am a part of a community group, teach first and second grade Sunday school, and run slides for worship.
