This year, I am looking forward to getting to know my students better. I can’t wait to see how much they grow academically and spiritually. My verse for the year is “The joy of the Lord is my strength!” (Nehemiah 8:10) In my classroom I encourage students to put God first and always try their best.
I attend River Glen Christian Church, and have been involved in Children’s and Women’s ministry. I am married to the gym teacher, Coach Dale, and we have 5 kids and 5 grandchildren. |
My verse for the year is 1 Peter 5:7, “Cast all your cares on Him, because He cares for you.” I love building relationships in my classroom. I believe in making learning fun by making it relatable and relevant.
I graduated from GCA in 2007 and began teaching here in 2014. I have been married to my husband Ben for 12 years. We have 2 children, Leah and Noah. I attend Passion Church, where I am part of the Children’s Church ministry as one of the pre-school teachers. In my freetime I love taking walks with my family and getting together with my friends. |
I believe in holding my students to a high standard of excellence, while doing my best to create a classroom environment that encourages kindness and honesty among my students. I am looking forward to getting to know my students better and growing as a teacher. My verse for the year is “Be still and know that I am God.” Psalms 46:10a
I attend Meadowbrook Church in Wauwatosa. I am very passionate about music. I’ve played a wide variety of different instruments including guitar, piano, and violin. I have broken each of my limbs at least once, and each at different times- I was apparently a fragile kid! |
My verse for the year is Mark 16:15, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” I believe that each child is a gift with a unique personality and skill set, and that every child deserves an excellent education. As a teacher, I need to develop an environment where each of my students can grow. I need to foster relationships with my students, and encourage my students to develop relationships with each other. By doing this, I can recognize their interests and different learning styles. I will take this knowledge and adapt to their learning styles and differentiate when needed, using hands-on activities and projects to engage students. I want to encourage my students to work hard and develop a love for learning.
I attend Poplar Creek Church and I have been married almost 30 years. I have 6 children and 2 grandchildren. I love spending time with my family and I love to curl up with a book in my spare time. |
Romans 8:5 "For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the spirit set their minds on the things of the spirit." I like the family environment of GCA.
As a self proclaimed lifelong learner, I enjoy being a part of other's learning. I want to help my students learn to think beyond the classroom, rather than to memorize inside the classroom. I want them to know Jesus as their personal savior and to seek to align what they know with what they feel and what they do. Some of the things that I like to do outside of teaching are playing board/table games, volleyball, walking my dogs and making time for family. I attend Discover Church, where I have volunteered in different ministries: nursery, Girls ministry, Bible Quiz, Las Amigas, Choir and Christmas Musicals. |
My verse for this year is Psalm 119:68. I like working at GCA becasue I get to steward God-given talents to empower the next generation, nerding out to God's Word, and teach students to fall in love with His commands. I work with a like-minded staff, whose aim is to glorify God in our work.
I am married to Claire. We have 2 daughters, Taliyah and Keziah. We also have a Baby boy joining our family in January 2025, God-willing. Some of my hobbies are spearfishing, game nights with fellowship meals, and studying Paleo-Hebrew. |
