My verse for the year is Ephesians 2:10, “We are God’s masterpiece, created for good works.”
It is my hope that my class will gain subject knowledge while learning about our Heavenly Father. My husband and I attend Divine Lutheran Church. We both enjoy volunteering and helping in our community. I enjoy spending time with my husband, family, and friends. I love being outside in God’s great outdoors. Also I enjoy crafts: coloring, cross stitch, and scrapbooking. |
I am so excited to help students grow and advance this year! I am looking forward to helping students learn through math and reading stations. We will also be completing a lot of hands-on activities in science, including STEAM projects. Most of all, I am excited to explore the New Testament with my students, as we learn about God’s love for us. It is going to be a great year full of creativity, exploration, growth, and learning!
When it comes to my teaching philosophy, I aim to help every child grow academically, socially, emotionally, and most importantly, spiritually. I explain my job to my students by saying it has 2 big parts; first and foremost my job is to make every child feel safe at school, and once that is accomplished, my job is to make sure every child has what he/she needs to be successful. My verse for the year is John 15:5, “I am the vine, you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” I attend Faith Bible Church in Greenfield. There, I am involved in a small group Bible study. I also help out with the children’s ministry. One thing on my bucket list is to visit all 50 states. I have been lucky enough to visit 12 states, but I am eager to do more traveling and explore the United States! |
This year I am looking forward to being back in the classroom. I am excited to meet my new students and see the returning ones. My verse for the year is “Gracious words are sweet to the soul…” Proverbs 16:24.
I try to encourage my students to do their very best, because the Bible tells us to strive for excellence. I also try to always display the love of Jesus in the things I say and do. I don’t hold a grudge. Every day we start with a clean slate and I try to be firm, yet fair. I attend Poplar Creek church in New Berlin. Something interesting about me is that this year marks my 30th year in education, with 20 of those years being here at GCA! |
“Walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to Him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.” Colossians 1:10
I am looking forward to being in class (in person) with my students this year. I believe that my classroom is a God-honoring, safe, caring environment where kids are free to ask questions, blossom, and grow as individuals. My husband and I attend Emmaus Fellowship Church in the Franklin/Hales Corners area. We are involved with the worship ministry there. In my spare time I enjoy crafting and spending time with my family. |
