My verse for the year is Genesis 9:16, “When I see the rainbow in the clouds, I will remember…”
I am looking forward to having personal contact with my students this year, and to be able to guide them and encourage them during these difficult times. I am looking forward to learning about my first grader’s likes and dislikes, and helping to grow their knowledge in new areas. I also look forward to growing with my classroom spiritually as we explore God’s Word together. I strive to provide a consistent, safe environment in which my first graders can grow and learn. God gifts each of us with unique talents and abilities. It is my job to help my students discover the gifts God has given to them. I have been attending Faith Bible Church for the past 26 years. I have been an active member of the worship team during my time at Faith and I have been involved with children’s ministry. I am an avid Harley Davidson enthusiast! Riding my motorcycle gives me the perfect opportunity to relax and spend time talking to God! |
“Every good and perfect gift comes from above.” James 1:17
Every year I look forward to getting to know and love a new group of students. It is a pure pleasure to watch each and every student learn and grow academically, socially and spiritually. I want to create a safe and nurturing environment where every student can blossom. It is my prayer that everyone gets excited about learning and they will use the gifts that God has given them in a way that glorifies him! When I am not teaching, I like spending time with my family and friends, reading, sewing and crocheting. I attend Whitestone Community Church in Oconomowoc, WI. I am involved in Bible studies, have taught in VBS, and have gone on missions trips. |
My verse for the year is Matthew 22:37, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.”
Each new school year is an adventure in learning. We are learning many things, not just academics. We get to explore God’s world and share His love with others. Watching the children grow throughout the year and have those “Ah-ha!” moments is one of my favorite things. Children learn in different ways. Some are hands-on learners, while others like to learn independently. My goal is to make the classroom a place where all of the different learning styles have the opportunity to flourish. I have been teaching for 38 years! I love it as much today as I did the first day I walked into the classroom. I also love my family- my hubby, son, daughter-in-law, and 4 AMAZING grandchildren...and the dog, Watson. I attend Fox River Church. It is a vibrant and life giving ministry and I am blessed to be a part of it. |
This year I am looking forward to trusting the Lord through all the uncertainty of the future, as well as helping the kids to develop or continue a trust in the Lord as well. My verse for the year is Hebrews 11:13, “We are strangers and aliens on earth.”
I want my students to realize that learning is lifelong. We can always learn something new, and that is exciting. I want them to see how God has made each of us unique as well as His amazing creativity in His divine design of creation. I love storytelling for all ages. Who doesn’t love a great story- for pure enjoyment or to teach a lesson. At church I am involved in Children’s Ministry, Hospitality Table and Women’s Ministry. |
