This year I am excited to share the love of Jesus with my new group of students. I want to help them create a love for life long learning. My verse for the year is Psalm 34:8 ,”Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him”
In my class, I strive to provide a consistent, safe environment in which my first graders can grow and learn. God gifts each of us with unique talents and abilities. It is my job to help my students discover the gifts He has given them, and to build on the areas in which they have challenges. I have been a member of Faith Bible Church for the last 28 years. I am actively involved on the worship team. I love dogs! My family fosters dogs and finds them their “fur-ever homes.” |
My classroom verse for the year is Mark 12:31, “Love your neighbor as yourself.” This year I am looking forward to…Everything! I cannot wait to serve the Lord in second grade. I am overjoyed to build and strengthen relationships with my students, their families, and my fellow staff members. I am also excited to be coaching the girls’ volleyball team this fall! My calling as a teacher is to share the love of Christ with all children. Children are intricately designed by God with beautiful minds and personalities. I can’t wait to discover the ways that each child thinks, listens, learns and interacts with others. I believe the best way to teach a child is by providing a loving environment. Love means discipling with empathy, showing patience, and devoting time to make sure every child is reaching his or her own potential.
I attend Emmaus Fellowship Church in Hales Corners and I host an adult Bible study at my house each week. I am the “tech gal” on Sunday mornings. I consider GCA to be my second home. I attended GCA from K4- high school graduation in 2018. My prayer is that GCA can be a home for my students, too. |
My verse for the year is Matthew 5:16, “In the same way let your light shine before men so that they may see your good works and glorify your father in heaven.” I am looking forward to building deeper relationships with my 3rd graders and their families this year. I am excited to see my class master the subject matter and to grow in their curiosity and critical thinking skills. I believe that all students can learn at high levels, that God has created them with unique gifts and talents to use for his glory. I strive to meet each child where they are at and give them the tools needed to succeed.
This is my second year at Grace Christian Academy and my 20th year of teaching overall. I am a tournament chess player and love to camp, read and travel. I attend Fox River Christian Church and help with kids and youth ministry as well as a Men’s Bible Study. |
This year, I am looking forward to seeing my students learn and grow. I love the “ah-ha” moments when new concepts really click!. I want my students to love the Lord and realize that they can spend their entire life learning about Him and never know it all. My verse for the year is 2 Timothy 4:7, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”
In my classroom, I enjoy incorporating storytelling and I encourage my students to be creative writers. I attend Grace Community Church, where I work in Women’s ministry, Children’s Church, and as a greeter on Sunday morning. |
