Perhaps the most important verse in the Bible: John 20:31 “For these have been written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God and by believing, you may have life in His name.” God has offered life beyond this life if we believe! How awesome is that!
This is my 5th year at GCA. I’m excited to continue the News program and integrate some new curriculum to make Art education at GCA more fun and also cutting edge.
I’m looking forward to adding art that impacts GCA for years to come. For instance, students are creating a usable courtyard space for teachers or classes to use, or the tree you see as you enter the school. I’m also trying to incorporate ways to reach the community with our art this year through fundraisers, fieldtrips, and maybe even an art show.
When I’m not teaching, I’m either pole vaulting, disc golfing, or building a snow sculpture!
Psalm 177:1 "Praise the Lord. How good it is to sing praises to our God, how pleasant and fitting to praise Him!"
This year, I'm looking forward to another great school year filled with singing, composing, and creating. We will learn new instruments, new notes, and new music. I cannot wait to explore new things in music! I believe that every child has the ability to learn and to create. My classroom environment ensure that every student has the opportunity to sing, play instruments, read music, and write their own music.
My husband and I attend Cornerstone Church in Milwaukee. We are both on the worship team and we love our small group that meets during the week.

1 Corinthians 9:24, In a race everyone runs, but only one person gets first prize. So run your race to win.
I'm excited to see how the students grow, spiritually and academically this year. I always tell students to try their best, you never know what God will do with that effort.
I attend Riverglen Church and was the large group leader for 4th-5th grade for over 10 years. I am one of seven children who are all alive, the youngest is 52.
My verse for this school year is Ephesians 3:20.
This year, I am looking forward to seeing just how far our students can go on the best instrument there is, the guitar. I strive to meet my students where they are, leading them to the logical and individualized next step.
I attend Cornerstone Church located in the east-side of Milwaukee. At Cornerstone, I have two roles: I serve as lead electric guitarist on the worship team and I am also the lead writer, working with many other great instrumentalists and writers to compose original worship music for our awesome church.
In May of 2018, I graduated from America's only collegiate finger-style program with honors!
