Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) GCA is blessed to offer an opportunity for tuition families to apply for and possibly receive financial assistance in order to make the cost of Christian education more affordable. The TAP application is available online through FACTS. Typically applications begin the December before the school year begins but the application will remain open until funds are no longer available or at the discretion of the Board. The application takes into account among other things: the cost of tuition per family, the family income and expenses and extenuating financial circumstances. To apply, see the link on the GCA website under the Admissions tab.
Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) Frequently Asked Questions GCA is committed to working with you to make Christian education affordable, and partners with FACTS Grant and Aid to help manage tuition assistance. If you are in need of financial assistance for the upcoming 25/26 school year, please read the information below.
I have been awarded Tuition Assistance, what are my next steps? Pending school acceptance, you will receive instructions for Online Enrollment along with a Work Study agreement. At the time of enrollment, you will: • Select your Tuition Payment Plan • Submit the signed Work Study Agreement Please note: The Finance Office will apply your award to your tuition balance before finalizing your payment plan.
When can I apply for TAP? The TAP Application Process opens on December 1, 2024, for the 25/26 school year. Apply early for the best results! Applicants must complete an application each year and awards are good for one school year only. Please Note: FACTS Grant and Aid requires a separate login from a current family's FACTS family portal.
What are the yearly requirements? All families who receive TAP must sign a WORK STUDY agreement which requires them to volunteer 60 hours per school year (a minimum of 30 hours must be completed within the first semester of the school year). This program allows GCA to offset operational costs while continuing to meet the growing demand for tuition assistance of those in need. All TAP recipients will be asked to "give back and pay it forward" by committing time and talents in various areas throughout the school. Our desire is to meet the family financial need and create a community environment of working together to accomplish the ministry of GCA. Applicant families must complete an application each year and awards are good for one school year only.
What grades does (TAP) apply to? TAP is available for full-day Pre-Kindergarten through 12 grade students. Awards are applied to tuition costs only. Tuition Assistance award amounts may be adjusted to reflect Invest in Kids donations.
How long does it take for me to find out if I have been approved? FACTS can take up to two weeks to verify your application based on your financial qualifications. Once verified, your application will be sent to our Tuition Assistance Committee who will consider your application. Decision times may vary. Please note: Considerations for the 25/26 school year begin in mid-March.
How will I be notified of the TAP award decision? You will receive notification of the award decision directly from FACTS after the GCA Tuition Assistance Committee consideration. IF AWARDED, YOU WILL HAVE 10 CALENDAR DAYS TO ACCEPT YOUR AWARD (ONLINE VIA FACTS OR WRITTEN NOTIFICATION TO THE FINANCE OFFICE). If you need more time to consider accepting your award please reach out to Megan Grinnell at [email protected].
